Head porting for all vw diesels
« on: April 12, 2007, 08:26:33 pm »
We are now offering head porting jobs based of flow bench tested results. We are working off blueprints to offer low prices and quick turn around times, where as most head porters have no experience with vw diesels and have to do some guessing. We have chopped up several heads to ensure our port jobs do not come too close to coolant jackets within the heads.

Stage 2: gasket match intake and exhaust manifolds and intake and exhaust head ports, casting smoothing in ports, $300CAD

Stage 3: Everything from stage 2 but included a serious port overhaul, flow # comming soon! $650CAD

Stage 4: Everything from stage 2 and 3 but includes deck modification, flow #'s coming soon! $850CAD

hehe... i guess every gram counts!  it'll be a nice car to take on trips to places... i'm hoping to get around 60mpg at least... i might install a taller 6th gear to assist in that, unless the transmission already has a nice tall 6th (which i believe it does)

Dave are those prices just for your porting services? How much for a full rebuild? Also, do you need any heads?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say, call him.

Dave, well an amazingly talented fab man, is a two finger typer. If you call he will answer, or call back. It really will be much easier for all involved this way.

I have the laminar flow bench #'s for the TDI, but they are a bit useless, we are still trying to figure out how to build a real positive pressure flow bench.

Whats the difference between the stage 3 and stage 4?  Can you explain what the deck mod is and how it helps?
Thanks, Jim

The deck mod helps guide the air both in and out of the valve area on the flat deck surface of these heads. It will help reduce EGT's and get your turbo to spool up a bit faster.
