aren't the metal pan bolts all about the same length?

I'd say the biggest thing about the oil pan is making sure you torque the bolts, especially the ones going into the flanges on each end, it's very easy to strip them.

I'm talking about the two oil pump bolts. I don't want to take off the oil pan only to find I can't put on the new oil pump and waste all that oil.

Maybe someone could give you a measurment on the smaller pump to compair to the larger pump?

I dont have one here so I cant but maybe someone can.

That would prob tell ya if you need new bolts.
