1.6NA IP vs 1.9IP

hello all,

i have a 1.9TD engine on my 96 Jetta but the engine was changed from the early passat diesel engines that were 1.9TD but the IP did not have the LDR.

i beleive both engines share the same block and a few other parts but since my turbo is not really active and its my veggie car, power is not an issue, would the IP from a 1.6NA work?
