Pd130 is easily capable for 180hp and I think it will spool up a lot faster than kkk24 in 1.6L. My friend is building a 1.6TD with it. Aim is just 160hp to keep things safe. We'll see it soon...

in portugal we have tdi 110 hp making +240cv at the flywheel.
the tdis have a lot more potential and reliability...

With this a ment that a turbo from pd130 is easily capable for 180hp as my friend has dynoed his -03 130pd with original turbo 190hp.

Yep, TDI's are great. It was 3-4 years ago my other friend made 252hp, 550Nm from his Golf IV with pd150 turbo. Unfourtunately EGT showed 1100 celsius, so they decided to settle for 220hp, 450Nm (EGT aprx. 940 celsius).

At the moment my engine (2,46L) pushes 124hp/litre with only 1,3bar boost as it won't stay up on the rollers. That's about 235hp converted to 1.9L or 198hp on 1.6L. On the road I use 2,0bar with adequate fueling.   The engine is in everyday use on a van.
2.5TDI 5cyl with 227,7kW and 586,6Nm @ 1,3bar (2??kW @2,0bar)
14,53s 158,88kmh @ 1/4-mile
1980kg with aerodynamics of a barn door

1100 C = 2012 F
940 C   = 1724 F

As for 124 hp/litre, that's pretty impressive. I wonder what it's making at 2.0 bar...
hmmm, 235 hp for a 1.9?
