How much for complete engine? I might be interested if I can get someone to pick it up.

Also, how much for the transmission? I'm assuming 5sp?

yeah if you could get the KMS that would be great, plus find out the price for the complete engine (ie starter & alt, water pump etc etc) and the price including transmission.

It would be great if you could confirm that it runs. This could be an integral part of project X

Patience, young grasshopper.

All will be revealed when the stars align and Project X goes from paper and HTML to the garage. Much assistance will be needed from the collective knowledge of this forum, a couple other forums, and the SCTA.  Dat's all I'm sayin'.

Know what I'm sayin?

I'm doubting it but is the tranny bolt pattern the same as the 020s?

Different than VW 4 cylinder engines, but my understanding is it's the same as Audi 5 cyl diesels & Porsche 924.

NKB... I'll have to mull over it. I would be much more interested if it were complete & running.

Are you sure it was turbo, an 84'? Is it a 240 that had a 740 TD swapped in?
