Fitting a TDI in a mk1 golf
« on: January 31, 2007, 05:30:00 pm »
Hi guys and ladies Im considering a tdi in a MK1 Golf  I think the electrics
are going to be the biggest problem.I still want to use the O2O gearbox
but I think the TDI ecu is linked with the gearbox and the speedometer
can anybody shed some light on this subject or link me with some threads
for me to read much appreciated

mtdi will solve all your problems, no wiring involved. but besides that i have no clue on the wiring, maybe the speed sensor will fit the 020? what engine code you using?

You might want to look this up if you're going with a full electronic TDI swap.

you have to remember though that the swap you linked is from a mk4, which is alot more difficult
