So hey guys;
Who here does Auto-cross with their Diesels?
I'm thinking of gettng back into it and would like to buy another Rabbit to use for said purpose
.
However, my friend says "you can't AutoX a Diesel!"
Bah; what does he know? so I want to show him up.
Anyone here do it?
Well, the search is on for a race Rabbit for me anyway and then I'll show him how it's done
just for fun; that is me in 2003 with my 1.8l Golf CL
. fun stuff!

I would like to know where some Autocross events are in Ontario as well. I finally got my 1995 Golf 1.9 up and running, and I would love to run it in Autocross.

Oh well then!
Your first thing should be to join WOSCA; they are the ones who hosted the Events that I attended and they were fun, informative and welcoming
.
They also have a forum like this (although I haven't been on much lately since I currently have no AutoX car! ).
Anyway, here's a link:
http://www.wosca.com/
Hopefully I will have something soon to race this year!

i'd like to get into with my jetta this summer, fspgtd does alot of racing, and gets alot of attention, i hope to do the same. i'm a little concerned as to what class i would be in since my jetta doesn't have the stock motor since it's an 81 and i switched it to a turbo diesel(only made td's in 83 and 84), and my boost control device is modefied. well not really but kinda lol, i'm afraid i'll be a tough class to compete in.

"you can't AutoX a Diesel!"
I drove my Diesel Rabbit in a Evolution Driving School. I usually drive a Corvette. I would use the rabbit but the handicap is not kind to a N/A Diesel. I am aware of one guy in the Portland area that AutoX 's a diesel.

it was with my old truck, and it was raining, and i had truck tires too
and it was "just a 1.6td"
theres a video out there somewhere of it.....
diesels should clean up in tight courses especially, because the torque is always there
