My Giles pump isn't on just yet...the motor is still in the building stages. It'll be a ported, polished, balanced AAZ 2 liter with a Garrett T3 turbo. I'll put an intercooler on after breakin. There are a few pics here.

Well, I got the torquemonster 2 liter in and running. With 1000 km on it and boost set at 6psi, a fartcanned Civic was waiting for me at the toll booths the other morning. Do I , or don't I.......yeah, I do. No high revs, no hard shifts, no abuse.....I just drove away from him at will. He was very discouraged.
Poor Honduh driver....beaten by a diesel.

stewardc - I am always looking for other people with Giles pumps for testimonials. Just got my Giles pump in the mail Saturday. So is yours mounted on a 1.6 or 1.9 td? I have a 1.6 with Techtonics tuning downpipe and full 2.25 inch exhaust. I am also adding an audi 5000 intercooler with the Giles pump (hopefully done by late next week). Does yours have an intercooler? Got any pics of your caddy? Thanks! I hope to be posting smoke tales here too someday...

Sorry, no intercooler yet. I'm breaking it in nice and gentle. The Giles pump is simply amazing -- no great clouds of smoke, extremely nice power and almost 70mpg (Cdn). It was certainly money well spent.
Now for some powdercoating and paint to make it look nicer. I had a G60 polished valvecover on my 1.6TD, but it won't work on the 1.9. There's very little bling for this engine.

In the latest installment, the old truck is working better every day. Almost time to install the intercooler and boost controller. 8)

Anyone got an Old Navy CCV filter they'd part with? I'm looking to redo the CCV system and need something nice on the valve cover to plumb to.

Coming soon. Then "watch Out" Honduh drivers. The boost is still set around 6psi and it's absolutely wicked power.

S'OK, I found one, and polished it.

When I mentioned at the local shop that i was considering swaping to a diesel...one of the guys who works there got jelous if it wasn;t because the car sounds like its going to fall apart he'd put a diesel in his civic to mess with people...he thinks diesels are better

All of us nuts on here think that diesels are better than gassers. I think that IDI is much more reliable than TDI.
