while in class i drew this up and then made it on the computer when i got home. i dunno how useful it would be, but i believe i would find it quite convenient to have. it would alow you to switch between stock boost and highboost, adjust boost from inside the car and disable the lda from inside the car, what do you all think? good idea or bad, i think the end result of this would probably be expensive... the electric air switches seem to be price at my work, but i think that is mostly because they are made for medical use lol
It would work. I guess it might be usefull for tuning smoke levels and such.... but I prefer the cheaper and simpler option of using my right foot. OR wet roads seem to do wonders for limiting boost.
yeah, seems impractical like i kinda said before, but it would be a nice setup for going from stock to kill mode, and turning the lda mode off for daily and highway commuting.
yes, it will work fine, we used those electrical ports on our gassers turbo also to make max pressure for a single fast run
i think it should be a good idea for using waterinjection (by example), when the WI kicks in, you can let the lda get full boost, so you use the EGT drop (i hope its clear, my english is not always the best...)
Greetz, Benjamin
might be eaiser to run a boost solenoid, ( programmable based on the inout voltage), input voltage is from a variable POT ( potentiometer), the LDA could be controller via a electronic valve ( ie on off operation).
yeah that;s exactly what the boxes represent
There are lots of electro-pneumatic switches on emmisions and vacuum controlled devices on lots of cars. I can think of a few GM ones in particular, and I'm pretty sure there's a few on my MK3 AC setup as well. Many of them are even multi ported.
Saabs with 'APC' have a 3 port switch, and a boost sensing switch. Mega cheap at the JY.
