I was quoted $400 for junkyard tranny for my toyota pickup and when I went to get it a different guy was there and he says $100, I was like that guy said 400, he says it'll need seals and a rebuild and I was like whatever. It lasted over 10,000 miles, then I got sick of 14.5MPG so I bought a car, now it's my off roader. :D
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

i was going to buy a 2.0 mk3 golf turbo, but the car made a horrible grinding noise in reverse so i called around looking for a transmission for it. the one place wanted 750 for a used mk3 transmission.  i mean i could almost get it rebuild for that much.  i didn't end up getting that car tho, mostly because i was afraid that the setup was wrong.  the car was hella fast tho.
