how far would you drive on this timing belt?

How far would you drive on this timing belt?

a) to the closest shop  (2K)
b) to the nearest dealer  (140K)
c) call the tow truck

The belt is tight with less than a 1/4 inch deflection.
Has about a six inch sectiont that is frayed along the one edge as show in the pic.

I've seen far worse than that last a long time.. take it to your closest vw shop and have them check pump shaft play when they change it. The edges of the belt usuaallly don't wear like that unless the pump bushing is wiped out and the belt is riding off the edge of the gear.
