If you have a paper trail, you could hire a texas collection agency to go after her. Goons and all, sounds like she's earned it. Part of $6k is better than none, plus the satisfaction of having reached out and made her life miserable.
With the kind of people that will stiff you on a payment, I know from personal experience (long ago) that showing up on their doorstep in work boots and greasy overalls is the best way to get money from them. Amazingly, people seemed to equate the fact that the truck was rumbling in the driveway with the door open with me being in a hurry and ready for no nonsense.....they never figured out I was scared sh**less and the truck was running with the door open in case I needed to make a run for it :lol:
Women seemed to be tougher to deal with....somwhere in BC there is one with a story to tell about how the muffler she never paid for dissapeared from under her car one night :twisted:
