Any one want to do an Ohio meet and maybe a biodiesel tour

I'm new to the forum so I thought I would jump right in.  I got into the vw diesel thing a year ago with my Caddy truck and am loving it. Even got the other half into the vw diesel thing( make projects easyer when she is cool with the deal).  I would like to see if anyone would like to do an Ohio meet and cruse, maybe a rally or some thing.  Also I am making bio Diesel with a friend of mine and thought maybe we could show you the works.  I am located in northwestern Ohio, so lets see what we can do.

i got my old caddy in tiffin
theres a vw shop there,the guy had mostly aircooled,but has a bunch of watercooled too
if i remember right its over near the american standard factory

I was thinking maybe late october or early november of doing a get together but do it as a road rally with check points and some food.  Let me know if any one is interested and we can set some more definaint plans.  I just want to drive my dub.

Might be able to swing it.  Still driving a gasser though.    That's not too far from where I am.

I'm in Athens, the drive down here from Columbus through Hocking Hills on SR56 is beautiful this time of year..  I run a shop here and could certainly provide burgers and grill food. We also have a bulk plant that sells good quality biodiesel, but only in drums and only by order on weekdays. There's a guy near here that runs his own plant, that may be open to a tour.. I can check into it if anyone has interest.

Ah yes.  Made that drive more than a few times.  Been to a handful of Halloween parties down at Athens.    Good times, cute town.

hey all you ohio guys. I'm gonna be going to The University of Northwestern ohio in october. Its in lima. is anyone familier with the area and where to get VW diesel stuff. I know its a while till i go but i'm just trying to learn about the area. i've been to the school once so i'm not totally dumb but some help abou the area in general would be nice.

Hey i just finished there at UNO, good school there are only a select few who run VW diesels there and now i'm gone. But there are always new people goin there and i saw different VWs every month.

SmokeyCJR- I'm in that area quite often I drive to BG all the time and I am actually looking to work at a place just off exit 161. If you get anything going let me know.

myke_w I have read many of your post and your projects are quite interesting, I would enjoy coming down your way. I might put an order in for some Bio. How far are you from The VWdieselparts.net guy?

i'll be out there this summer to tour UNOH during normal operating hours.(not that showy open house stuff) let me know when. hopefully i'll still have a diesel. i'm looking to sell the rabbit and get a TD jetta.
