Although you will need to use a normal t3 turbine housing, see the flange I posted in the manifolds thread to see what I am talking about, virtually all t3 turbos except for weird models usually available on production cars (like our vw's).
I guess Ill be modifying one then. Will a t3 housing bolt onto a k24? ( I think I have a few from when I was playing with ford 2.3s)
Were the T3 equipped diesels more common then the KKK equiped ones or something?

No its just that all t3 aftermarket turbos are that style flange, the vw flanges are wack, one of the main purposes of making these manifolds is to get people to start using better and more effecient turbos for their setups. Find a turbo from a mercedes 300d turbo diesel, 78-85. Those turbo will work perfect with these manifolds, and they are well sized for a performance IDI. and they are cheap on ebay and wreckers (around $150usd)

Yep that the normal one right there, the MB turbos have the normal flange, go find one, they are great.

Well if I find one Ill do it...but I have 3 turbos laying here that only cost me labor to get.
Other then the kit I bought here from fspGTD.
So if I get a header Im going to have to modify it.

Andrew good call man, I starting drawing up and adapter last night that would allow you to use the trapeziodal flange to the t3 flange. I was planning on making the taper for the difference in the actual port size as well, but maybe the best option is to do what you said and make the two extra holes in the t3's inlet flange, and than the buyer can just port their turbo to suit... I wonder if ther eis enough meat ther to do that.
I'll go check, if there isn't enough meat to port the turbine to match I'll continue work on the adpater.

Ok just checked, definately no port matching here, the t3 inlet is twice the size of the vw version, so an adapter will need to be machined, it will need to be about an inch thick to match everything up, more computer work... :?

Don't ditch the adapter. There's plenty of folks (like me :wink: ) who'd buy them in order to put the T3 style turbos onto the VW flange. I would also change the shape of the header flange and add the extra holes to allow either style turbo to be used with your header.

I am gonna go with the adapter, pretty much have to. So the t3 inlet flange will remain as it is and the adapter can go between that flange and the turbo inlet flange

Sound good? Anybody have anymore requests?

Actually..I was kinda thinking..would it be feasible to make an intake that incorperates an Air to water cooler. Kind of like what they do on the ford Lightnings.
I drive alot so I have WAY too much time to think about crazy stuff.

You kind of could, but i have never seen an effecient air/water cooler, everyone I ever met that has tried one (including myself on a few different occasions) always ends up throwing it out and placing an air to air cooler instead.
