False SVO/WVO advertising in Ebay Auction Titles.
« on: September 22, 2006, 02:06:06 pm »
Folks,
There is a new fad/trend occuring on Ebay and Craigslist for that matter.  That is sellers advertising their Diesels as SVO/WVO fueled vehicles.  More than 3/4 (I know, as I am seriously in the market for a Diesel and check out everything I see on these and other sites) are falsely advertised this way.

None of them have a 2nd tank, heated lines, solenoids etc...  They just say SVO,WVO in the Title.  Sometimes, within the Description text they will state the car/truck has the potential to be converted.  However, most times they don't elaborate any further on their SVO/WVO claim.

Looks like folks trying to cash in on folks concern over high fuel prices by making false claims on the diesels they own, that for the mose part have sat and are sorely neglected.

I know everyone here is smart enough to know the difference and won't be suckered into buying one.  Question is, are you honest enough not to try to sucker others into buying one.
