Klangs Golf GTD MK1 Mods

I bought this Golf GTD because I needed a car to go long distances for a while.
Then I got sick and bored going down the highway and figuered that I need some mods to be done...

Quick info:

Golf GTD -84
Black
1.6TD
2" Exhaust
Soot modded amongst other small adjustments
Higher boost (1.8 BAR / 26 PSI)

Dyno tested to 100hk. (before intercooler)

But were about to change that, It'll probably end up with a piston through the bonnit... then I'm happy =)

A couple of pics:








Got a serious amount of soot on the dyno, as you can see.
I blow the door shut when I got some boost...


Mounting a Intercooler:

Trying to get a Saab 9000 intercooler in there...

Yep, of course we need a intercooler..
But why, oh why must we try to get the over-sized one?
Oh well.. lets give it a go..


Remove the front, radiator and other things in the way..



At this time we realized there was no chance in hell this intercooler would get in there... (if you look to the left you see the intercooler..)
So its time for some cutting



Tada, a big funny looking hole.. Fixing some smaller things with a clonk-o-meter and a big bar:



Now, we can almost get it in there:



Oh well, I'm sick of cutting things, - Just get it in..



Oh f... we cant close the bonnit.. what to do? CUT IT!




And thats how far we got now... I runs really well.. beat some gassers as Golf GTI MK2, Polo GTI -04...

And then we had to face the problem with the bonnit not really looking that well with 2 big holes in it..
My 2 friends wanted to "fix it, make it look sweet".. - Well okey.. go ahead do what the f... you want..

That, was my biggest mistake..
They really went in for it, and came up with this:

Violett metallic paint with GLITTER!?



And that was just not enough for them.. they had to get the scoop's aswell:
