Lightened injection pump pulleys

Just wondering who would be interested in lightened injection pump pulleys. The stock tdi pulleys are unecessarily heavy and can be shed to less than half of their current weight. Less reciprocating mass makes life easier on large IP heads and timing belts, as well as help revving. I would do these on an exchange basis, you buy a lightened sprocket for $45USD shipped plus a core charge which would be refunded to you upon recieving your core, but again this is just a feeler for now to see if there is interest. I also have light weight harmonic balancers in the works.

Here is a picture of a stock tdi sprocket beside a lightened version (I did a real quick lighten on the lathe with this, I will do a finish pass and balance all the ones I would sell, still need to remove a little more material, maybe 40grams more) and a 1.9 IDI sprocket under neath.

Weights are as follows:
stock 1.9tdi: 1552grams
lightened tdi: 705grams
1.9 idi: 660grams

The finished lightened tdi should be around 680grams, I can also make some holes similar to the 1.9idi sprocket to drop the weight even further, I am doing that on my personal tdi.

Lets here what you think.

Holy crap...did they have a glut of steel in Germany when they made those??

How about lightened balancers for 1.6s?

That looks really familar...

What I started with for my mTDI

What I ended up with...

Link to the original thread. Served triple purposes for me in my project. Lines the injection pump when using the 4bt pump, added the adjustable aspect to timing the injection pump and making those adjustments super easy as well as lightening things up...

...interesting...

Hey yeah same stuff, the mk4 sprocket is a pig. By the way I have a source for the 20mm adjustable hubs, $65 a piece.
