Up for sale is a 1980 Audi 5000 Diesel engine. This is the naturally aspirated ~62 HP unit. I understand that it has around 75000 miles on it. You will receive the complete engine including coolant hoses, fuel lines, injection pump, vacuum pump, alternator, manifolds, downpipe, partial engine wiring harness, etc. It will not include the flywheel, clutch, or rubber engine mounts.
The price is $500.00 USD. For this price I will remove it from the car, strap it to a pallet, and deliver it to a local shipping company. The buyer must pay for and arrange shipping. My zip code in Utah is 84062.
From what I understand, though I'm no expert, this engine will fit most 5-cyl gas applications. If you've thought about a 4000 Quattro Diesel or a Quantum Syncro Diesel, this is the engine you want. In case you want to convert this to a turbo diesel, there is currently an Audi 5000 turbo diesel fuel injection pump and an exhaust manifold with turbo on ebay for cheap.
