yea i just make the ramp "steeper"
curve it up towards the end of the travel
that way it doesnt affect the fueling at low boost levels too much, thatll affect your mileage ,or you can start out mild, and keep grinding to your preference

The boost pin mod is a serious must...
i took off about 25% maybe less to try, it feels amazing - i think the wheather makes a difference also, it was about 15 degrees celcius when i tested it. the temp goes up really fast also, but not over heating. what percentage did u guys take off?
hillfolk'r: - i know u went hardcore... good for u bro ! ur pin looks like it's aluminum??
one more question... did u guys "de-cat" to keep turbo temps down??

mine was a "factory "pin that i modified
i would think you would wanna remove the cat
when i had my old idi td,i had a 2.5 inch homemade dp(looks like PP's),and a 2.5 inch straight pipe exhaust that exited in front of the left wheel
this was from waterfest 03
i had a slightly modified pin in there, but not as radical as it is now
that was a 9mm pump too,and my best et was 15.79

that's the best part, all you gotta do is turn the boost pin around to side you didn't mess with, and bam stock lda fueling, or you could just run the starwheel up real high so the springs really tight, kind of make it in active.

some nasty hard steel, you arent gonna use a hand file, you need a grinding wheel,i did mine with my lil dremel tool, you may be able to carefully do it on a bench grinder
after i rough ground it i used sandpaper on my dremel  to polish the ground area so it was somewhat smooth

hillfolk'r - i agree... u really have to make the grind surface really smooth, because the fueling rod will have trouble riding on the grinded surface area.
i used a carbide grinder to smooth it, works super... then i apply grease to the surface. Can't say enough about this mod... A MUST for speed. i will remove the cat this week end
Klang - i have emissions too... that's why the other side of the pins is left alone. so when emission comes... turn the pin = no fuel... just air
what about the spring rate??? i don't have a star wheel also. i have a breather... my pin area is full of fuel, so it's pissing out of the breather
i will try to post some pics in the near future
