g-tech dyno

i'd like to purchase a g-tech dyno, but i'm not sure what model and stuff i should get and what the best source is, ebay seems cheap, but i dunno. i'd like to be able to see power curves and quartermile times and stuff. and also be able to load this info on my computer, thanks for any help gents

they got 2 versions now dont they?
i wanted the new one,but i think the old ones are ok too,ive never used one id like to try one
but i heard to get some figures you need to enter the vehicle weight
i really dont know alot about them,but i wanna!! :wink:
its gotta be better than the butt dyno :lol:

butt dynos own, but it's hard to feel power curves and *** with ur ass. well maybe not, my friends rx7 that thing is dragging its feet like crazy, then as soon as it hits 3000rpm that sob wrings over to 8k in the blink of an eye. haha we got in trouble in that car the night he left me drive it i love rwd

i got the '94 model, its good for 0-60mph quarter mile,
its my understanding the new models can give you a horsepower line on the computer.
my Gtech can give the peak of the hp, but i never used it.

yeah i'm currently borrowing a gtech pro like you have, it is very nice for quarter mile runs and stuff, i really need to weigh my car so that i can see peak hp, but i am definetly considering purchasing a gtech rr so that i can load my dyno runs onto the computer

If you want to save some money the older GTech Competition (with blue backlit screen) might be fine - I'm not sure if it has the same accuracy as the SS/RR models. fspGTD has the Competition and he's able to download HP/Torque plots to the computer.
