The material is removed from the inertia ring behind the ring gear for the starter. Also, what head gasket did you use? A TDI gasket is not compatible with a 1.6 engine.
i take that sucker(flywheel) down to the ring gear  it pretty much cuts its weight in halfits the big chunk of metal that extends from the ring gear and goes towards the engine, thats the "chunk" you need to removei do em on a lathei think it weighed like 13-13.5 or so,and after its cut its like 6.5 or so i think,roughly15 psi?yea you would probably be ok with stock head bolts, but you will seeyou WILL want more boost, and now the stock bolts could be a problembut 15 psi? itll be alright
the vr6 setup would require a trans swap, etc
How are you guys balancing them after cutting?
Quotethe vr6 setup would require a trans swap, etcwell I figured that but I was asking what the largest flywheel we can put in our transmissions? 210mm 228mm?Where the hell did this come from??
