Alright,
I went from having a botched starter, and began replacing it, when I sprung a leak in the coolant pipe
(the one from the heater core hose to the middle waterpump hose, it has 2 nipples/flanges on it. One for the coolant tank, and one for the oil cooler)
Does anyone have any tips or anything on how to replace this pipe? I've got everything disconnected and unbolted, but I cant manage to get it out... I think I might have to pull the oil filter to get it out, and maybe the coolant pipe to the head and a few sensors....

This is the rigid metal pipe that runs from the side of the engine over to the back right? I'm not sure the best way to get it out with the oil filter flange on. I recently did mine, but most of the stuff like the oil filter flange, etc., was already removed from the engine. I don't know what year your car is, but for my '79 diesel, it was NLA. I was able to get the pipe from a '78. The only significant difference was there was an extra flange on it. I blocked it off with a rubber cap that I got from Checker Auto Parts, and a hose clamp. well, I already got the pipe, and it's the right one, it's practically new... and it came off a gasser, and the gasser and diesel oil filters are different (diesel is larger)
BellCity-- Did you have to pull oil filter and cooler?

Pipe for A2 Turbo Diesel (with extra flange for oil cooler)---Part number is 027 121 065d and is still available new from certain parts companies...$25.
I replaced mine with the engine out of the car so it was easier, but I didnt have to take the oil filter or oil cooler housing off. Maybe this pic helps?
It's old and garbage, pull out the angle grinder
Now getting the new one in will be a pain, but you have half the battle done
I've done it before, I think I fed it up from below the oil filter but I can't recall
Not sure if I had to do it but, since car needed oil change, I dropped oil and filter. The pipe slipped right in with extra space---did not have to touch cooler. No more leak. By the way anyone else have a problem with these pipes rusting out? From the looks of it ...it started from outside and worked its way right through. Luckily I the found the hole in my driveway and not in the middle of nowhere.

yea, I managed to fix this one.. I had to do an oil and filterchange to get the tube out of the way..
the pipe tends to rust out (in?) at the point just above the starter....
