1.9 ALH Timing with pulse adapter and timing light help

 Sure, when you know where the TDC window is supposed to be.
 Make it and mark the flywheel at 12BTDC.

My timing light has the advance function so there is no need to ever mark the flywheel (other than actual TDC).  Just change the advance setting on the light to 12° and adjust the pump until the pulse happens when the TDC mark is aligned with the pointer. 

ORCoaster:
That is how I use my timing gun.  Set it and push or pull on the IP and line up the TDC mark accordingly.  So simple.

 I forgot mine has that feature, I've never used it.
