my problem is fixed and ARP HEADSTUDS ROCK!
« on: August 13, 2006, 10:31:25 am »
So i finally bit the bullet and bought a set and would recommend them for every vw diesel application. The studs i bought are from a for cosworth which use the m12x1.75 thread pitch and the part number for it is 251-4701. The cost me roughly 150 bucks and was worth every penny. I finnally pulled the head off a 3rd (3rd times a charm) and sent it out to get resurfaced and when he returned it to me he said there was a pretty deep impression betwwen two water jackets which was causing coolant to be pressurized from the number one cylinder. so i got it all back to gether last night it runs nice and cool and drives well. all i have to take care of now is exhaust hookup. O HAPPY HAPPY DAYS! 35 psi hear i come.
