 You are doing this right.
 Starting with the ARL block and bigger turbo.
 With the VNT-15 in my MK2 golf with the same pump
I can only use half the peddle before EGTs are at 1200F and boost is at 15+.
 
 The response is fast.
 I let my neighbor drive and told him don't go past 15psi.
 He has a diesel truck and was surprised how fast the boost and EGTs hit the limit.
  He was also surprised how fast it took off.

That's impressive. I might be too big on the injectors then, lol. I have some 260s and 280s. My plan is to put the setup on the CJ by springtime to compare. Somehow I think I'm going to like mTDI over the eTDI due to simplicity, and that I'm not going after making all the power. Rather, just enough.


What size injectors do you have?

 I think my injectors are DLC 520s.

 Way more umpf than my stock 2000 Jetta.

I know two other folks with this pump. One is going to run .232s that he has, and another is .216s. Guess we will see what happens.
