Christmas Gifts coming in the morning?
« on: December 24, 2019, 06:43:10 pm »
So how many of us asked for something for the project, build, repair or daily as a gift for Christmas?

I generally have to send links to my kids of all the parts I am currently pondering and they pick one or two and The Amazon Santa brings them here.

I do this early enough in November that I don't remember what I asked for.  So when packages come from the VW places I still have no idea what I might be getting on Christmas.

Hope you have a great day and get the tools/ parts you want or maybe need.

HO HO HO.

Merry christmas!   (close enough to Ukrainian right?)  Picked up a bunch of fabless manufacturing parts for the mk2 16v myself  ;D    figure it'll be in the air enough that I might as well make it easier on myself and fit a proper rad https://www.fablessmanufacturing.com/collections/all/products/tubular-front-cross-bar-vw-mk2-corrado?variant=19170111750213

now to find the time to install them

Well now that someone responded to my thread I can say that I did indeed pick up some tools I will be using on the VW's.  A nice set of counter clockwise drills and taps to go with them.  So the next time I break a bolt or need to drill a bolt out I can do it with ease.  Lots of times the drill biting into the metal undoes the bolt.  Then you just clean it with the tap to chase out the corrosion and burrs.

Also picked up two new batteries for the Bosch drill and driver I have.  More power in the 5.0 amp hour batteries then in the 1.5s.  Torque we all love the increased torque.
