After reading the previous thread I am having a similar problem as Jt. Temperature comes up but according to the guage is going too high. Normally at idle this little beast should be barely warm. It gets hot. Then stays there. The rad fan does cycle at what seems to be normal intervals. The rad lower hose is getting warm so I am assuming that the thermostat is working. I am wondering if the sensor/thermocouple in the head is defective giving me a high guage reading. Anyone else ever see a bad one before? Anyone ever see a pump that was failed internally? Return line is flowing but yesterday when fiddling with things I noticed a plastic restrictor in the return line close to the reservoir. I am not familiar with this. Should it be there??? There did not seem to be anthing like that on my earlier NA diesels.
