NEEDED: Vacuum check valve (?) for 1.6TD
« on: July 24, 2006, 06:09:37 am »
When I was pulling the 1.6TD from an '84 Jetta, I made the mistake of attempting to pull off a hose that led from the block to the brake booster (IIRC).  Unfortunately, the plastic port coming from the engine block broke off with it inside the hose.

I assume this is a vacuum hose and that they plastic bit was a one-way, check valve?  Does this sound right?

Does anyone have one of these they're looking to part with?

Cheers,

cool. there seem to be a lot of dubbers in PA...maybe due to the old westmoreland factory?

re-reading your original post i'm not sure if that part is the check valve, or if you have one in-line as i do on my 1.6TD. make sure if you're having it shipped or whatever its the right part
