oil cooler leaking
« on: July 13, 2006, 06:48:25 pm »
My oil cooler has been leaking for along time and I think I am going to do something about it. Right now it leaks from between the part where to coolant flows through and the top part where the turbo oil line screws into. Can the oil cooler be taken apart and put a gasket in there to stop the leaks? or is there anything I can do to stop it, I dont really want to spend 120 dollars for a new one. thanks

There is a seal in there that commonly leaks, especially if the unit is not real tight.

Remove filter, and remove stud\nut to lower cooler assy.Replace O-ring and reassemble.
