I have been looking for a front mount for the 91 gtd and i think its going to ba a tight squeeze as the standard radiator is so large. What intercoolers are u guys running?  :)

mercedes sprinter/vw lt intercooler fits great. You only have to move radiator back few cm.

I'm planning on installing a mk1 rad so that my volvo intercooler will fit infront of it

Well thats it, the gtd rad is so big its hard to see what will fit in front of it and have the boost pipes squeeze round the sides :roll:

never a good idea to go to a smaller capacity rad. These engines need to shed a LOT of heat when they're working hard.  Audi 5000 turbo rads are about the same size as an A1 rad, but almost twice as thick and come with a very powerful fan

Standard engine, 1.6Td boost pin, no EGR More boost, more fuel

those are freaking huge mein!

Are they pretty efficient?

that intercooler is huge, wish i could do that on mine and remove my wing mounted one.
