Who needs 2.5" stainless pipe?
« on: September 10, 2004, 02:28:25 am »
A friend of mine is replacing 400 feet of 2.5" stainless pipe, at the Kraft plant. Almost all the stuff he works on is stainless but he doesn't often mess with 2.5".
He said I could go through the bin.
I'm going to grab some for myself and was wondering if anyone else wants some.
It is being replaced because it has a layer of burnt sugar in the bottom of it.
He says I can just tap it on the ground and it should come out.
I won't have a chance to look at it till next week.
I'm not looking to make much on this but it would be good to make a little or trade for some parts for my GTD (Rabbit) project.

Straight sections only, or curved as well? Where are you located? If the price is right I may be in the market for about 20' of straight and at least 2 90-degree bends.

Thanks! Stan

You're the man!!!  I was just planning on changing my exhaust manifold to accomodate a long-runner intake manifold which would require fabrication of a new downpipe, and for that I would need some 2.5" or 3" 304 stainless tubing.  Probably about 180 degrees worth of bends, and 1-2' of straight on top of that would do the trick.
