sounds like you need to back off the main fueling or the idle a bit, that should get rid of the engine "hanging"
It looks like the TD is back to normal. The engine doesn't seem to be "hanging up" between gears any longer. Maybe the linkage was a bit sticky. Who knows? Mileage seems to be better as well with the new nozzles...
Here are some pics of the wrinkle coated valve cover and timing belt cover. Not sure if you can see the texture in the pics, but I'm really pleased with it.
Some of you might notice that the valve cover isn't a true TD part. I never got one with my engine, so I looked around and found that the A2 digifant (gasser) valve cover is a close match.
It doesn't have any strange throttle cable brackets on it and it has the hole for the oil separator grommet (other A1/A2 breathers have tubes sticking out there). The only thing missing is the little bracket that helps support the hose going to the intake, but I think I can make something to work there. There's a threaded boss in that area that I can come off of.
The separator on there now is also from a digifant engine. The part numbers are slightly different, but it seems to fit / work fine so far...
