mercedes injectors vs GTD injector nozels?
which is betteR?
I'm in the process of building a set of both... me and my gTech will take them for a spin and let you know. Breaking pressure will be set exactly the same, as will pump timing etc.
My money's on the Mercedes nozzles, based on what I've read, but I already bought the GTDs so will test 'em both.

At one time not so long ago I had a set of injectors with GTD nozzles and mercedes injectors. I noticed that the needle was quite bigger on the merc nozzles.
I installed the merc injectors when I replaced the head (along with a 1.9td metal HG). Right now power is a bit under standard TD power only because I cut the fuel a fair bit (I wanted to wait for the required re-torquing of the headbolts after 1000 miles). Now that it's done I'll be upping fuel shortly. I hope to see nice gains from those injectors.

aaz metal hg don`t need re-torquing..
Autodata says, stage 1: 40nm stage 2:60nm stage 3: 90deg. stage 4: 90deg.

I don't think it has anything to do with the HG I used. The bolts are stretch bolts and they stretch a bit at first. When I re-torqued them they were definitely easier to tighten than when I torqued them the first time around before running the engine.
The MK2 bentley has the same initial torquing procedure you described but adds 1/4 turn after first warmup at idle and another 1/4 turn after 1000miles.
