First oil on a TDI....

can't figure out which way the oil filter drops in? Does it matter?
the Bentley manual deosn't specify either. Thanks

Get one from the dealer. Whatever you do, DON'T get the FRAM filters. The disintegrate and end up in the oil. Really not good for the turbo.

Which way do you put it in the housing?

I did mine with the shallower indent on the bottom.

i suggest no one gets anything fram, as they suck severly.

Ok so i figured it out.
You have to look for the word OBEN> german for top.
And when I flipped it right side up, my lifters stopped ticking, hmm :roll:
