an interesting sidenote too, i noticed this plug was unplugged for whatever reason, it goes to the little switch that the throttle leaver triggers at wot, i have it bypassed as smog's instructions, not functioning, but still plugged in.

when i plugged this back in, the hp dropped 5 and they said i was smoking more with it in than wihtout.

Nice  :) Your modification list sounds dirt cheap.. and not many 90HP TDIs with a $400 chip remap and a $300 injector upgrade can make 140whp.

Nice figures :) What do you think the 1/4 mile will be?

If I compare that to my run I see that there is more to gain with a K24 turbo  8) My max was at the same RPM as yours, but then it ran about horizontal till the same region where yours dropped.

I'm guessing his car with current modifications is capable of 16 sec in the 1/4 mile with decent driving.

here's the vids, all the smoke is before boost, as i floored it from 1000rpm, bogs it big time, if i knew the dyno started at liek 2000, i woulda done it from there instead.

1/4 mile run last year with the boost controller setup wrong and fueling at the lowest settings was 17.4, very good launch.  I'll be doing 1/4 mile again this year.

can you post your dyno or mail it to me? my next upgrade would be a turbo, but i dont' want too much low end loss, as this is a daily driver.

running 17.5PSI boost, midly modded governor (1.6D stiffer spring, 2 washers), GTD LDA pin, 3" DP, 2.25" exhaust, big renault van IC, 2.25 plumbing, fuel turned up.

in both graphs you see the torque climbing to about 3000rpm, mine keeps level but yours starts to decline from there, I think lack of flow of the small turbo and restrictive turbine.

Actually thats the fuel pin I cut and was running in my caddy in its 1.6td days, which than went to malone, which is now in this pump, thats a slutty fuel pin

Anyways, this dyno reading is not accurate. What the correction factor or whatever they call it? My guess is you are putting down more around the 110whp range, maybe 120, but I think even that would be overly optimistic. With a governor mod, one of my 1.9 dp's, custom cam you would be getting around 140whp.

I just learned that a stock 90HP ALH TDI dynoed 106whp on the same dyno the same day... so unfortuantely the numbers are a bit exaggerated this time.

17% correction factor on a Dyno Dynamics dyno is used to emulate a Dynojet.

Using 17% correction, 106.6whp dyno = 89whp (for the stock TDI).. a lot more realistic.

In Cheesetoast's case 141.1whp dyno = 117whp. That's nothing to be disappointed about with minimal mods, it's still at least a 42whp gain over stock.
