is a 10psi lift pump for 1.9TD too high that wil be pushing veggie only. this pump would be for my 96 Jetta with the 1.9 Turbo Diesel not the TDI.
btw i live in a very cold climate (Montreal, Canada)

the pump would help to push the thick veggie oil through the pump (put less load on it). I personally would not see a problem with 10 psi. Getting 10 psi out of veggie might require a pretty powerful pump though, considering how viscous it is.
you might want to tighten your lines too... since when the demand is lowered the pressure could spike such as in deceleration. and to just plain ensure no leakage
you won't get any big pressure... the fuel or veggie will pass free and come back by the return lines! :wink:
While we're on the subject, has anyone used a stock MK3 2L pump as a lift pump and if so how was pressure?

He can chime in but from what I rember there was never an issue and it sure made priming a pump quick and easy.
It was a MK3 1.8L lift pump and I don't know the specs.. I had the PSI/cc numbers but I forgot them now.
The lift pump was fine although I used it for only 10,000km, or max. 5,000km per injection pump.
I'm not sure if the MK3 2.0L lift pump is much different.
I think the CL pump is something like 1.6 bar according to Etka whereas the 2L pump is supposed to be 3 bar. I'm curious what kind of pressure there would be at the pump inlet with the pump dead ended into it and if enough excess fuel can bypass back to the tank. I don't want to see fuel pressure pegged at the pump inlet and go through in-tank pumps daily....but since it's there it would be nice to use it and possibly see some benefit from it. Otherwise, I need to find a TD or TDI tank pickup but nobody has chimed into my wanted ad to say they had one.
I just looked at the ACC (CL) pump is 1.2 bar and the ABA (2L) pump is 3 bar.
