PS: But has you said, if your IP address doesen't change, you don't need to loggin at each time..

I do have to login "twice" on my work computer. I just click the "Log in to check your messages" link like others have said. I don't have to type down my username + password. Static IP. Win 2000 fully patched and Firefox browser.

No problems @ home. Dynamic IP. Win XP SP2 with Firefox browser.

I'd be annoyed if I had to type down my user+password every time I visit this site, but that's not the case so it doesn't bother me

marc, i've left and come back to the forum 3 times this morning, all from my work computer here and my IP has been static. have to log in every time. :?:

Which "Login" button are you pressing?

Did you notice that the quote's aren't showing up the same either? They don't have the same grayed out background.

i have been using "Log in to check your messages" as recommended here.

quotes have been messed up since the version update as well.

There's a thread about the quotes..

.. Hmm it's strange if you experience login problem even if your IP is fix.. I'll try to dig and see what i can do..

thanks marc. i was thinking this problem should be easy to isolate since we know its been since the version change. if its a huge hassle to remedy then don't worry about it. thanks for all your work on this forum

maybe this info will help?..

i logged onto the forum last night from my home connection. i took my laptop to work, booted up and when i went to the forum over the work connection i was already logged in. just like how it was with the old forum, and certainly using two different IPs.

then i surfed around, did some work, came back to the forum... had to log in again. :?:
