Time to go elsewhere
« on: April 13, 2019, 12:10:58 am »
With all the porn and fake passport traffic on this site I will have to take leave of it.  All the admins must be asleep at the switch here.  The place is inundated with crap that is totally off the rails for what this site is about and no one seems to be doing anything about it.

Why are these people allowed to register in the first place.  Bots all of them followed by more bots that spew vulgar words that are not at all about diesels, VW's or automobiles in general.

Until you clean it up I am gone.  Possibly with a host of others as well.
Enjoy your new fake passport to where ever and enjoy that porn as well,  I am NOT having it.

Admins and Moderators---  Shame on you for not doing your jobs.

Came back to check on things.  No Better  In fact of the posts I saw there were 100 that were nothing but spam and three,  Yep 3 that were actual topics.  Site is infected and I don't like to be sick.  Staying away for another quarantine period.  Maybe just cut out altogether and delete my account.

This is SICK and not in a good way either.

About 10k posts later and that will hopefully be the last of them.

Unfortunately a few people decided to turn the site into their computer science project and managed to by-pass guest posting, then dropped 10k or so threads in a few days.

please report this sort of stuff in the future, will get notifications via facebook or my email is linked to my cell phone

Thanks!!!!  Now we can go back to our abnormal diesel discussions.
Great site until the hack happened.

I think this is a great site until that happens, but I'm still waiting for the change

Not planning to change much, rather not overwhelm the site with dieselgate questions. Will post publicly with polls long before changing anything aside from security.

Why eastern Europeans would try to maliciously destroy a site with no financial benefit is beyond me...

Still finding the fraudsters every now and again.  Just keep reporting them to Moderator.  He will ice them as he has the time.  That is a sideline, to a real job that takes plenty of overtime to maintain.  But it is done for the greater good.  So thanks for that!

The object is not to gain but to do, all about the quest and bragging rights I expect.  We could as a group go flood some Ford or Dodge Diesel forum with VW questions if we wanted to so we could come back here and snicker about it.  But why?  Who has that sort of time these days.  NOT ME and I am retired now.
