1.6TD injector spray pattern

The spray pattern differs a bit between my injectors. They both pop around 2000psi. The Bentley says "check that the injector sprays in an even, compact cone pattern...". How compact/narrow should it be? I'm worried that an incorrect spray pattern can damage the precups, but the Bentley isn't very specific on what the spray pattern should look like.

Those are both fine provided they both pop cleanly at a similar pressure and don't pee streams below the pop pressure.

I bought some new bosch injector inserts,..
 and they pissed worse just before breaking pressure than some of the old injectors I have.
They were made in brazil ,.. I'll buy india made nozzles next time.

It is just miserable having to wade through so much dross these days, parts wise.
Badge engineering didn't die with British Leyland unfortunately.
