Turbo Upgrade Questions!

I am currently looking to pick up a 1985 Jetta II Turbo Diesel. I am looking to build this car to make decent power, the goal is between 160hp-200hp if possible on the 1.6td. I am thinking the "easiest" way to earn significant hp would to swap the stock turbo for a larger or smaller one, not sure where I want the power band to be yet. I have been doing a little research and have seen lots of people doing the k03 swap with the AAZ manifold being plug n play with the 1.6td. Are there any other turbos that will work like this?
