I need 1 oil ring 77.48 for a piston
« on: August 21, 2018, 09:18:19 pm »
I bought a set of grant rings and broke one oil ring trying to install them.
Anyone have just one oil ring left over from doing the same thing with a different ring in the set?
Need just one oil ring for the big ones 77.48.

Kind of figured that would have to be your solution.  Good to know someone has the other spares they can be brittle in the clumsy hand.

I swear  I was easier with the last oil ring than the others,..
don't open it any more than you have too.
First time I opened it "snap", didn't really get a chance to abuse it.
Not much there with all the slots and valleys.
and yep, brittle is the key word.
Good thing they are only about $30 a set for Grants or I might be a little more bummed.
