Injector Stuck?? Carnage Pics!!!! :)
« on: June 22, 2018, 09:57:24 pm »
Wtf...   Havent posted in a while, cause everything has been good.

Been pushing 30lbs on a fiber gasket and I thought it finally let go.

Drove home 15 miles like this!!!  Just had a misfire and a bit of smoke :)

Does this look like a stuck injector caused this?  Everything else looks fine.

This is going to be my last Idi.  Have a few alh & ahu's ready to plop in for Madness.

Wow Serious erosion of the top of the piston on number two cylinder.

I would be leaning toward fouled injector.

Wow, that's crazy looking!  How on earth did the top of the piston bond to the head like that?  Does it break off, or is it welded on there good?
I thought fuel injectors that were dribbling usually melted the swirl chamber away first?

I initially thought it cut a hole in the pre chamber and did the damage but upon review of head pictures that is not the case.  So some sort of oil issue with that cylinder?

Amid some static: "....this is one small step for man......and a giant leap for mankind...…."

The mask and the shot(s) are actually an IQ test. If you are wearing or circulating, you just failed the test. I can't feel sorry for you.
