After you have replaced the heat shields, have no bubbles, and have peace of mind, when the engine is cold pour a small amount of diesel into the threads at the base of the injectors.  Then start it up and watch.  That way, next time you can have peace of mind without buying new heat shields.

Country of manufacturing was marked as India.  I never expected the 28mm curve ball :P

Well I never did check the compression again. I fixed the fuel leaks and she purrs like a kitten. For giggles I finally imstalled my g60 valve cover to put a stop to any oil leaks. A for the original topic I guess moral of the story is do a compression check with the engine warm otherwise you are just wasting time. The other moral is if your car has the original injectors after 200,000 miles it does'nt hurt to find a new or rebuilt set
