1983 Diesel Jetta (Eastern Idaho) 3 Speed Automatic

The car drives well.  Both engine and transmission work great.  We rebuilt the engine a couple of years ago, but I quite driving it when I purchased a new Passat just after the rebuilt.  I kept it for a backup car, and because I liked having an old mechanical injection engine around.  Last year the fuse and relay box started to melt down, so I wired in my own fuse boxes and relays.

The body of the car is not in good shape.  There is a lot of rust and it will never be a good looking car.  You can use it as it is, but if you are looking for a good body, this is not it.  The powertrain is good and if that is what  you want this is the car for you.

I have some videos of the car running I can send you.

Reply if you are interested.  I am happy to drive it to surrounding states if there is a good use for it.  Not really worth the money to ship it, but I don't mind driving it over.
