WTB: 1.6 IP mount brace
« on: March 18, 2018, 11:44:01 pm »
No clue where I put mine, but I’m tired of looking for it.

This is the small brace that ties the IP mount to the top of the alternator bracket... maybe 4-5” long.. I need one for a non AC car, it’s a bit longer than it’s AC counterpart.

I’m in NJ 08002.

Pretty sure I've got one of these, but it may take some digging.

Sounds good, thanks. Do you have an idea what you’d want for it?

Sorry for the slow reply -- I totally forgot to check the forum!

I'll need to look through the garage, but I think I have a pretty good idea where it is. I don't imagine it's worth very much . . . how about $25 + shipping?

That’s a bit more than I was wanting to pay for it, but thanks. It’s been missing for over 2 years now, so I’ll just keep lazily looking.

I just realized I misunderstood your post! I was thinking you needed the whole IP bracket. I think I know the piece you need -- I'll look tomorrow and if I find it, hell - you can have it for free (and possibly some good luck/karma for me one day when I need something).

Man I'm sorry -- I've been taking forever! I decided to do a full garage clean up and inventory, and I found I think all the IP bracket parts I've still got. I took a picture, which I'll post once my phone is charged, I'm not so confident I have what you need. I can't remember at all how it sent together, but I seem to recall a fairly straight, rectangular bit, which I have not seen. Also, this was a vanagon. I think the motor was at some point replaced, and I don't know in any case if these parts were different. I hope I've got what you need and that it's not too late!

You're looking for the brace on the right side of the bracket, right? I'm afraid that I have no idea where mine is, or if I've lost it in the road somewhere, or what. Although, I vaguely remember seeing it at some point in a box with other parts and wondering what it is. Now, however, I've gone through pretty much everything.

Let me know if that's what you're looking for. If I do find it, now I'm thinking I should first of all check and see if there's any way to mount it to my aaz pump. my last alt 'died' due to excess vibration.
