Restoring a Caddy as time and weather allows
Aftermarket Sunroof
« on: May 12, 2015, 12:08:34 am »
I recently stopped at another forums place and salvaged from an 84 four door Rabbit this sunroof.  This model but will fit many in the VW line and other cars as well.  The glass is the FABA Autoglass  43R-001366  Heavy shading.  On frame it shows Hersteller Farmont Produktion  Type F700.  Glass size 14 1/4 x 30 1/2    Outer frame size 15 3/4 x 31 3/4  This model has been Discontinued.   It uses the handle to lock and pop up the back of the glass about 6 inches three different preset openings.

Best I can do for dimensions and info as it has gone by the way.  http://www.sunroofdoctor.com/farmontpopupsunroofs.htm

Shipping depends on how far and how to best protect from damage  aka breakage.

Let me know if you are interested.  Do not need in my basement and current ride has the roll back sunroof, original.  I was thinking this could replace that one but it is too small.

Asking Price of 90 bucks and you kick in the shipping.  Just let me know where it has to go.  Other than on top the car.  I get that.

Hey, did you ever sell this sunroof?  I have the frame in a jeep but need the glass, hinges etc.

I did sell it and it went to a lady in Ohio and she used it in her El Camino.  She too had a broken glass but good hardware.
