Smaller cooler for 1.6TD
« on: December 31, 2017, 05:36:40 pm »
Hello everyone,

Does anyone know if any gasser radiator will fit "plug-n-play" in a diesel Golf mk2?
I know that in diesels have a angled output flange (lower), right?
If so which ones?

Living in Scandinavia, I have absolutely no cooling issues, quite the contrary actually... The temps rarely exceeds 15c.
So a smaller radiator will only be beneficial.

it really depends on the car and options, on my mk1 the rads between gas and diesel are the same, and posts are straight, on a mk2 the flanges are on different angles depending on if you have ac or not. but a mk2 rad will work in a mk2 or vice versa. you may just need new hoses to match
