A couple of questions about improving vintage VW's

(1/2) > >>

LucasMolen:
I am starting a business in producing parts for classic cars where I’m focusing on the early Volkswagen cars. The specific cars I’m looking at are the first generation Caddy, Golf, Jetta and scirocco. I’ve used an 1100cc Mk1 Golf as my daily driver for a couple of years now and despite loving every minute of it, there are several parts that could be more comfortable of better in my opinion. If you drive one of the above cars, I would love to have some input from you. I’ve created a short list of questions that I hope you will answer for me. I hope we can help eachother in the future!

Ahh, looking for the comforts of the 2000 type cars in an 80's vehicle.  I love it!  Since I own two of them I will take the survey.

Good luck on this new venture.  Remember us when it comes to pricing.

Owning 2 myself and also doing a restore that will add some modern conveniences, I too will take a bite at your survey. In my opinion, the most exciting part of these "good old" 80's cars is the driver interaction required. The driving experience is sometimes increased by the lack of "modern comforts". Even so, still could always use some upgrades! Good luck with the enterprise! Excitied to see the outcome!

Like fatty floor mats,.. does anyone make fatty front floor mats for the MK1?

ORCoaster:
ByFatty you mean deep?   I would like a set myself to catch all the water that comes in on the bottom of my boots.  The thin mats I have now just let it run into the carpet.  So Yeah looking for something I can empty out in the evening.
