Cover Plate - What is it for????

Front of engine near oil filter mount.
Can't find it in either my Jetta or Rabbit Bentley. What goes there?????

isnt that the old opening corresponding to the 'cam' on the IMshaft, wasnt it for old carburated gas bunnies? in our 1.9s its used for a CCvent.

Behind that plate you will find 5 extra horse power.  To be used when in need for uphill climbs.
