when that happens it isn't just some valves that need replaced. It can be the entire engine at worst or some rods or a piston. Good luck with that.

Got a good engine cheap off a mates friend so worst case a get it changed. Just a waiting game a guess. Tick tick

lost 2 pistons from an AHU of mine they both had to come from germany for like $350each, rods, well they werent any cheaper*(not to say rods are in a set),,
although if engine is still running (2full days later) you may well be ok. youll usually find out in the 1st 20minutes, but it can take 50 or more miles for 'it' to happen.

Nightmare. Well I have done about 300 mile mostly hard driving. And it's spot on like.

Fingers crossed then a guess. What ever happens a get it sorted a love me bora. It's a good clean one no rust been looked after. Shame the lad never had belt checked but hey ho. Part of the joys of motoring.

Well if anything is going to happen am sure it would do if pushed. Am not really fussed now to be honest. It's working. If it brakes it just go back and get fixed.

 I have the chance to purchase a 2002 Jetta TDI for cheap because it has a broken timing belt - not a lot more information than that. What kind of.
